The John E. Reagan House is a prominent two-story Neo-Classical Revival home of frame construction. The home is located to the west of Kountze Park, a turn of the 20th century high class residential suburb, and on the former site of the 1898 Trans-Missippi Exposition. The home's Neo-Classical style, which is indicated by such features as a full-height porch with a pedimented front supported by columns, was influenced by the Classical Revival buildings  constructed for the Trans-Missippi Exposition.
